The problem with the Harbor freight Dolly cart is the handle sticks up 90 degrees from the back of the cart. This prevents you from getting the cart under the middle of your pin.

I went to Sears hardware to look for the rubber washers to do Scott Farrar's Mod http://www.scott.farrar.com/pinball_cart.htm

I came across these brackets & figured they might just work, so I gave it a go.

NOTE:They have a few different sizes  (and shapes) of these backets including a couple smaller ones that might do the trick. I got this one because I wanted to be sure it stuck up enough to ensure the handle would fold flat. I also wanted to make sure the stock bolts would fit through the holes ( without drilling) In other words, I guessed while I was at the store.

1)The Bracket

2) The cart stock mounting holes.

3) Screw the handle onto your bracket.- Notice I did not even need to use the top hole. The smaller bracket should work but you will need to drill the holes bigger. there was also a black one that was less of a point and wider. Someday I will try that black bracket as i suspect that would be ideal.

Leave the screw a bit loose, this will allow the hinge to pivot a bit when you attach it to the cart. Also make sure the hinge is set properly so the handle will fold onto the cart for storage.

4) Attach the bracket to the holes in the cart where the handle is supposed to attach. I got 1 1/4 inch 5/16 bolts, lock washers and flat washers.

 5) A view from the bottom.

Note: I reversed the lock washer and the flat washer after I took the picture (not sure what one should go first)

6) All done.

Notice how the handle folds flat on the cart for storage.

7) The cart in action.  Now the cart will go under the game more. I might cut off that last hole since I don't need it.

The next time I am at the store, i am going to check out those other brackets & see if they might work better.

I like these larger brackets because they are sturdier than the size below & the holes were the right size to accept the bolt for the handle.

Stay tuned.

Enjoy
